### MSMEs worldwide
MSMEs (micro, small, and medium enterprises) make up more than 90% of all companies worldwide, provide ~70% of employment and ~50% of global GDP.

Financial calculations use an estimate of ~333 million entrepreneurs. This aligns with World Bank data (322 million formal MSMEs in 176 economies as of 2019), accounting for annual growth in registered enterprises (World Bank Entrepreneurship Database, data through 2022).

## Scenario rationale
### Scenario reference levels
This document uses three reference levels:
- **SOM reference 1%** — a minimum external reference showing achievable scale in market logic;
- **conservative financial scenario 10%** — a separate financial-model scenario;
- **optimistic financial scenario 40%** — a separate financial-model scenario.
In other words, **1% here is a market reference**, not one of the two main financial-model scenarios.

- **10% (~33.3 million)** — significantly exceeds growth rates of mature SaaS platforms
- **40% (~133.2 million)** — highly unlikely in this horizon
- Key DLE difference: one-time license purchase (not a subscription), which lowers the entry barrier
